This paper explores the advancement of leisure facilities in the European countries through a comparative approach between urban and rural environments, placing the tourist interests at its core. Overtourism and interdisciplinarity of tourist services are explored, in order to assess the tourism trend in urban and rural regions over the years. Regarding methodology, authors used both qualitative methods for analyzing the relevant current literature from the field and quantitative methods for analyzing secondary data retrieved from Eurostat database. Pareto distribution analysis is the main tool used for reviewing collected data for a period of ten years, 2014-2023. Results show that the same countries are in a leading position in both areas, urban and rural, respectively France, Italy, Spain and Germany, prevailing the European tourism. Authors selected this topic due to the upward trend of tourism economy worldwide. This article can be relevant for students, scientific researchers, organizations and practitioners concerned with the subject, bringing alternative perspectives for analysis.

This article analyzes how university entrepreneurial activities impact the reputation of the institution. Higher education has seen an increase in the number of entrepreneurial initiatives such as the creation of startup incubators, industry partnerships, innovation centers as well as the provision of various entrepreneurial education programs. The purpose of this article is to assess how these initiatives affect the public perception of universities as well as their reputation. In order to produce this article, an analytical methodology was used in order to examine data on research activities conducted at universities, student enrollment at these universities as well as university rankings. Strong entrepreneurial ecosystems and a higher university reputation are positively correlated, according to the findings, which also emphasize the importance of stronger links with industry players, higher visibility and improved student satisfaction. The research offers suggestions for developing an innovative entrepreneurial culture on campus and explores the strategic ramifications for universities looking to enhance their reputation by promoting entrepreneurial activities.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the latest technologies to raise the interest of mainstream media, world leaders and investors. In certain scenarios, AI is expected to augment human capabilities and, therefore, profoundly change macroeconomic labor productivity. Such a change would be greatly welcomed, considering that labor productivity in advanced economies has registered sluggish growth for many years. Despite these expectations, the reality remains disappointing. Even with continuous AI breakthroughs, labor productivity growth in the US, where world’s leading AI companies operate, has remained lower in the period 2019-2024 than in the period 1990-2007. In essence, the relationship between AI and labor productivity is not yet visible in macroeconomic statistics. Consequently, we tried to find evidence in scientific literature. We performed a bibliometric analysis, employing two scientific databases: Scopus and Web of Science. Our main goal was to determine the number of scientific publications which established a clear relationship between AI and labor productivity, be it on a macroeconomic level or on a firm level. Our results showed that not many researchers investigated the link between AI and labor productivity. In this study, we provided statistics per authors, journals and countries. We also provided an overview per content and epistemological orientation, to describe the research status in this field.

The supply of labor is the primary asset of the economy and the ability to adjust to the challenges of advancing technologies. This study looked into 9,768 job postings for 29,000 open positions in 3,451 companies. The results reveal that the sectoral distribution of job opportunities is headed by Retail & Commerce, with 27.13% of all open positions, underpinning the consumer-driven economy of Romania. The analysis reveals a relatively low level of part-time and project-based open positions and internships, which are even less so, signifying a low requirement for alternative employment structures. More interestingly, educational requirements represent a wide spectrum of opportunities for candidates with varied qualifications. Graduates represent 45.48% of open positions, underlining the demand for higher education in technical and professional areas. However, students have a fair share of accessible opportunities, at 27.85%, and 54.89% for candidates with no qualifications, reflecting the reality that many industries will value experience and on-site learning more than formal qualification.
